The mandate of the Board is contained in section 59 of the County Government Acts 2012. These include establishing and abolishing offices in the County Public Service, appointing persons who hold and act in offices of the Public service among others.
Responsibilities or duties
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Giving expert opinion on management of patients in the outpatient department using current guidelines and protocols.
- Giving expert opinion on management of patients in the inpatient department using current guidelines and protocols.
- Timely submission of reports as may be required.
- Participating in supply chain management.
- Giving continuous medical education on a regular basis.
- Undertake requisite professional development activities.
- Performing any other duties delegated by your respective supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
- Be a holder of a Diploma in pharmacy from KMTC or any institution recognized in Kenya
- Be registered and licensed by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized institution
