We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable healthcare provider, for a qualified and dependable Pharmaceutical Technologist (Locum) to support operations at one of their outpatient facilities in Eastleigh.
This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Pharmaceutical Technologist seeking flexible locum assignments while contributing to the delivery of quality pharmaceutical care in a professional healthcare environment.
Responsibilities or duties
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications accurately in accordance with legal and professional standards.
- Review prescriptions for completeness and accuracy before dispensing.
- Provide patients with appropriate medication counselling, including dosage, administration, storage, and possible side effects.
- Maintain accurate dispensing records and pharmacy documentation.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management, including ordering and stock rotation.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance within the pharmacy.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to promote quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) regulations and other applicable healthcare standards.
Qualifications or requirementsÂ
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration and current practicing licence issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
- Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical products and dispensing procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy healthcare environment.
Experience needed
- Previous experience working in a retail pharmacy, hospital, or clinic will be an added advantage.
