Position Overview
The facility is urgently seeking a qualified or trainee Pharmaceutical Technologist to assist with daily pharmacy operations in Mombasa. The successful candidate will dispense medications, manage stock, and provide patient counseling under established health regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Medication Dispensing: Accurately interpret prescriptions and dispense medications to clients following Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) guidelines.
- Patient Counseling: Advise clients on correct dosages, storage conditions, potential side effects, and adherence to treatment regimens.
- Inventory Management: Receive stock, conduct regular inventory counts, and ensure proper storage and monitoring of pharmaceuticals.
- Facility Support: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and basic record-keeping within the pharmacy environment.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Credentials: Must meet one of the following criteria:
- Registered Pharmaceutical Technologist with valid credentials.
- Graduate who has completed Level One PPB exams.
- Candidate currently undergoing or completed PPB Internship.
Attributes: High attention to detail, strong ethical standards, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
