ABOUT THE ROLE

The Pharmaceutical Technologist will dispense and manage pharmaceutical products, conduct quality control checks, and ensure full compliance with PPB regulations and Good Pharmaceutical Practices.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately dispense and package pharmaceutical products
  • Maintain proper drug storage, cold chain management, and stock rotation
  • Conduct quality control inspections and product verification checks
  • Ensure strict adherence to Good Pharmaceutical Practices (GPP) and GMP
  • Liaise with healthcare providers, hospitals, and clients on pharmaceutical matters
  • Maintain accurate dispensing records, registers, and documentation
  • Report suspected counterfeit, substandard, or tampered products immediately
  • Support regulatory inspections and PPB compliance audits

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or related field
  • Must be duly registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) of Kenya
  • Valid PPB practising licence – current and in good standing
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, GPP, GMP, and GDP standards
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a pharmaceutical setting preferred
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and professional integrity
