JOB DETAILS:
Description
Provide pharmaceutical services including processing and dispensing prescriptions accurately, giving drug information to medical staff and patients, participating in drug stocking and inventory control, following up on stock issues (pricing, credits, damaged/expired stock), participating in stock takes and variance reconciliation, checking expiry dates, carrying out quarterly medicine storage area inspections, and assisting in training new staff/interns.
Key Requirements
Diploma in Pharmacy, Valid registration and practicing license with Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya, Minimum 2 years' experience in hospital environment, Knowledge of pharmacokinetics/pharmacology, inventory management experience, Chapter 6 compliance.
