Job Purpose Statement
Oversee player health, medical support, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and medical compliance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical screening & assessments pre-competition and during camps
  • Monitor health and fitness levels
  • Provide medical clearance for participation
  • Develop injury prevention programs
  • Design rehabilitation plans for injured players
  • Collaborate with strength & conditioning staff on workload management
  • Provide medical support during training, friendly matches, official competitions
  • Maintain readiness of medical kits, supplies, equipment
  • Provide emergency care when needed
  • Keep confidential medical records
  • Ensure compliance with CAF/FIFA medical and anti-doping rules
  • Collaborate on welfare with Head Coach, Safeguarding Officer, etc.
  • Prepare medical reports for Federation, CAF/FIFA

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Medicine or Physiotherapy
  • Licensed practitioner with sports medicine experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience working with teams
