  1. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform assessments on all clients’ conditions as well to evaluate to determine whether physiotherapy interventions are necessary and provide information regarding their progress toward goals and objectives
  • Develop an appropriate plan for care and a comprehensive range of wellness  physiotherapy services to patients, including assessment and treatment and evaluation/rehabilitation a that are consistent with established standards of practice and patient’s needs.
  • Regularly measure and evaluate patientʻs progress by looking for signs of decreased stiffness, pain, and discomfort
  • Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients
  • Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs
  • Documentation:Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries

 

  1. Qualifications

1.Education

  • Diploma in Physiotheraphy.
  • Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy is an added advantage.
  • Must have valid membership and hold a valid practicing license in the Registered with the Kenya Society of Physiotherapists.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in relevant field
  1. Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in a busy hospital
  1. Key Competencies – Skills/ Knowledge/ Aptitude
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy methods and equipment
  • Understanding of movement, injuries and disabilities, and the ageing process
  • Caring, compassionate, and patient
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership Skills
