Job Purpose
To deliver quality physiotherapy services through patient assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, documentation, data collection, reporting, and community sensitization in accordance with professional standards and best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Screen, assess, and evaluate patients to determine physiotherapy needs and appropriate interventions.
- Provide physiotherapy treatment including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, electrotherapy, and hydrotherapy.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
- Conduct individual and group physiotherapy sessions.
- Provide patient education and health promotion on neuro-musculoskeletal conditions and physical wellness.
- Carry out physical disability assessments for categorization, registration, and support services.
- Maintain accurate patient records, case notes, and treatment documentation.
- Collect data, compile statistics, and prepare periodic physiotherapy reports.
- Participate in operational research and service improvement activities.
- Sensitize the community on physiotherapy and rehabilitation services.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide integrated care.
Qualification Requirements and Key Competencies
- Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution with at least two (2) years relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification with at least one (1) year relevant experience
- Registered with the Physiotherapy Council of Kenya (PCK) .
- Valid Practicing License from PCK
- Registered member of the Kenya Society of Physiotherapists (KSP) with a current certificate of practice
