Responsibilities or duties

Development of MIKE Content Management System in Drupal

Migrate the current MIKE content to the new system

Support the deployment of the newly developed system to UNICC servers

Performance improvements to UNEP GEF Project Implementation Report (PIR) system

Prepare the GEF PIR system for the FY2026 reporting period, including putting the results from the FY2025 reporting period somewhere accessible and preparing the 2026 form.

Ensure reducing repetitive data entry by updating 2026 entries from 2025 results

Design and develop the Household Waste Categorization web application for Lesotho using Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

An advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in the same fields, combined with two additional years of qualifying work experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience needed

A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field, including experience in Drupal CMS development, API integration with Drupal CMS, application development using MS SQL and relational databases, web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3, React and Python development, system analysis, design and computer programming, including advanced programming skills in PHP, MVC frameworks and Docker Hub, is required.

Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)

Work experience in the United Nations or similar international organizations is desirable.
