Plumbing Intern – CHP Talek Health Centre
POSITION SUMMARY
The Plumbing Intern will assist in the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems and fixtures to ensure uninterrupted water supply, proper sanitation and a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with routine plumbing installation, repairs, maintenance and troubleshonting within the facility.
- Support general maintenance works, including a wide range of tasks such as minor repairs to buildings, fixtures, fittings, doors, windows, furniture, and other facility infrastructure.
- Assist with basic electrical, carpentry, painting, masonry, drainage and other maintenance tasks within the intern's level of competence and under appropriate supervision.
- Conduct routine inspections and promptly report maintenance defects, leaks, faults or safety concerns.
- Support preventive maintenance activities to keep the facility, equipment and infrastructure in good working condition.
- Assist with maintaining basic records of maintenance activities, materials used and repairs undertaken.
- Unblock toilets, sinks, drain lines and other plumbing systems to ensure proper flow and hygiene.
- Observe all workplace health, safety, infection prevention and facility procedures.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Biomedical Engineer.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate in Plumbing or Diploma in Plumbing from a recognized institution.
- Assist with routine plumbing installation, repairs, maintenance and troubleshonting within the facility.
- Support general maintenance works, including a wide range of tasks such as minor repairs to buildings, fixtures, fittings, doors, windows, furniture, and other facility infrastructure.
