POOL ATTENDANT

Job Title: Pool Attendant
Department: Recreation / Guest Services
Reports To: Recreation Supervisor / Operations Manager

Job Purpose

To maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming swimming pool environment while providing excellent customer service to guests using the pool facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor swimming pool activities to promote guest safety.
• Ensure pool areas remain clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Arrange pool furniture and replenish towels where applicable.
• Report maintenance issues affecting pool operations.
• Monitor water cleanliness and report abnormalities.
• Enforce pool rules and safety guidelines.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and service requests.
• Assist during emergency situations in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of changing rooms and surrounding areas where assigned.
• Support recreational activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• KCSE or equivalent.
• Certificate in Lifesaving, First Aid, or Pool Operations is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in a hotel or recreational facility is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of swimming pool safety and hygiene standards.
