Responsibilities or duties

The Procurement Intern will assist the Procurement Function in ensuring the timely and efficient sourcing, ordering, receiving, and tracking of goods and services across Ikigai's cafés, kitchens, locations, offices, and events. The role offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in supplier management, purchasing, inventory control, procurement documentation, and data reporting within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications or requirements 

  • Strong alignment with Ikigai’s mission, values, and collaborative culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to proactively identify and address operational challenges.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, accountability, and accuracy when handling procurement documentation and inventory records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage and analyze procurement data.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.

Experience needed

  • Previous internship, attachment, volunteer experience, or exposure to procurement, administration, inventory management, hospitality, operations, or supply chain will be an added advantage
  • Assist the Procurement Function in ensuring the timely and efficient sourcing, ordering, receiving, and tracking of goods and services across Ikigai's cafés, kitchens, locations, offices, and events.
  • Gain practical experience in supplier management, purchasing, inventory control, procurement documentation, and data reporting within a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Support efficient procurement operations and ensure the smooth flow of goods and services across Ikigai’s locations.
  • Work collaboratively with different teams to ensure resources are available where and when they are needed.
