Responsibilities or duties
- Implementation of procurement plan
- Supervising inventory and stock control.
- Manage processes related to disposing of boarded stores and equipment. Planning of supply chain management activities.
- Coordinating warehousing and market surveys and research.
- Supervising preparation of procurement plans. Coordinating procurement processes.
- Make statutory and management requisite reports
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:
- Served in the grade of Procurement Officer/Supply Chain Officer (CSG9) or comparable position in the Public Service or Private Sector; with at least three (3) years' experience in a comparable institution or wider public service
- Bachelor's degree in the following disciplines: Business Administration (Supplies Management Option), Procurement and Supplies Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Certified Procurement and supply professional of Kenya (CPSP-K) part 1
- Active right standing membership of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM). Certificate in computer application skills; and
- Certified electronic government procurement practitioner(E-GP) administration and Planning.
Experience needed
At least three (3) years' experience in a comparable institution or wider public service
