About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Procurement Officer to oversee the end-to-end procurement function. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely, transparent, and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards.

Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to supplier payment.
- Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders through the ERP system.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value for money.
- Prepare and manage tender documents, quotations, contracts, and procurement records.
- Coordinate tender openings and participate in supplier evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve procurement policies, procedures, and strategies.
- Prepare and manage annual procurement plans and procurement forecasts.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of pre-qualified suppliers.
- Track delivery schedules and coordinate inspections to ensure goods and services meet required specifications.
- Maintain accurate procurement records to support reporting, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Generate procurement reports, supplier performance analyses, and management reports.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure budget compliance and timely supplier payments.
- Support asset disposal processes in accordance with applicable policies.
- Identify and escalate procurement risks or policy non-compliance.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CIPS or KISM will be an added advantage.
- Active membership in a relevant professional body.
- Minimum of 4–5 years’ experience in a busy procurement environment, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and procurement software.
- Sound understanding of procurement legislation, tendering processes, contract management, and procurement best practices.
- Experience in procurement planning, supplier sourcing, contract administration, and vendor performance management.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance.
