Role & Responsibilities
Deliverables:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of current procurement processes, controls, and operating practices.
- Analyse historical procurement activities and spending patterns to identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assess supplier performance, contract structures, and sourcing practices.
- Identify priority vendors and develop negotiation strategies to improve commercial outcomes.
- Design a procurement improvement roadmap with clear implementation recommendations.
- Develop procurement governance, supplier management, and sourcing frameworks aligned to business requirements.
- Present findings, recommendations, and expected savings opportunities to leadership.
Requirements
Experience required:
- Experience leading procurement transformation, optimisation, or cost-reduction initiatives.
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or supply-chain-intensive environments.
- Proven track record identifying procurement savings opportunities and supplier performance improvements.
- Experience reviewing procurement operating models, sourcing practices, and vendor management processes.
- Experience engaging with both local and international supplier networks.
Technical requirements:
- Strong procurement analysis and spend management capability.
- Ability to assess sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and commercial terms.
- Strong understanding of procurement governance, controls, and best practices.
- Experience developing actionable procurement strategies and implementation plans.
- Strong commercial and negotiation capability.
Soft skills:
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making approach.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Ability to challenge existing practices constructively.
- Results-oriented with a focus on measurable business outcomes.
