Your Mission
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and optimizing procurement operations in Puratos Kenya, ensuring alignment with global standards while enhancing cost efficiency, supplier performance, compliance, and import/export effectiveness.
What you do
- Align procurement activities with Puratos’ global strategy, policies, and procedures
- Source raw materials locally and internationally in a cost-efficient manner
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
- Oversee import/export processes, including documentation and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and government authorities
- Maintain and update the supplier database in line with vendor management standards
- Support supplier performance evaluations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and sustainability standards
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with planning teams to prevent stock disruptions
- Prepare procurement reports and provide actionable insights for decision-making
What we expect from you
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 2–3 years of professional experience in procurement and supply chain operations
- Proven experience in import/export operations and local sourcing
- Solid understanding of international trade regulations and Kenyan customs procedures
- Professional certification (CIPS, CPSP-K) or KISM membership is an added advantage
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
