This role requires balancing user-centered design principles with business objectives, producing designs that are functional, intuitive, and scalable. The Product Designer will lead research, create prototypes, establish design systems, and partner with engineering and product management to bring experiences to life.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability studies to identify needs and pain points.
  • Create personas, journey maps, and user flows to guide design decisions.
  • Analyze product usage data (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hotjar) to inform iterations.

Wireframing & Prototyping:

  • Translate insights into low-fidelity sketches and high-fidelity prototypes using Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Iterate quickly, testing designs with stakeholders and users before development.

UI & Interaction Design:

  • Deliver pixel-perfect designs for web and mobile interfaces.
  • Define interaction patterns, animations, and micro-interactions that enhance usability.
  • Ensure consistency across platforms by maintaining component libraries and style guides.

Design Systems:

  • Build and maintain scalable design systems that include typography, color palettes, icons, and reusable components.
  • Ensure all teams adopt and adhere to system standards.

Accessibility & Usability:

  • Incorporate WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards into all designs.
  • Test for usability across devices, screen sizes, and assistive technologies.

Collaboration & Handoff:

  • Partner with product managers to define scope and priorities.
  • Work with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately, using Zeplin, Figma Dev Mode, or InVision Inspect.
  • Provide ongoing support during development to refine edge cases.

Iteration & Testing:

  • Gather user feedback after launches and measure product performance.
  • Run A/B tests on UI variations to validate improvements.
  • Continuously refine workflows to improve user outcomes.

What Makes You a Perfect Fit:

  • Strong empathy for users paired with business-minded pragmatism.
  • Excellent communicator who can defend design choices with data.
  • Portfolio demonstrating UX problem-solving and UI craftsmanship.
  • Comfortable collaborating in Agile sprint environments.

Required Experience & Skills (Minimum):

  • 2+ years professional product design experience.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Experience creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and responsive layouts.
  • Solid understanding of UX principles, usability, and accessibility standards.

Ideal Experience & Skills:

  • Experience designing SaaS platforms, consumer apps, or enterprise tools.
  • Familiarity with front-end development basics (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) for better dev collaboration.
  • Experience scaling and maintaining design systems.
  • Exposure to analytics and testing tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Optimizely).
