Responsibilities or duties

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead our supplier relations and product offerings within our East Africa DMC operations. The role involves contract negotiation, vendor vetting, managing supplier complaints, and updating clients on new products and market trends to support exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

3-5 years' experience in product or supplier management in the travel or hospitality industry, ideally within a Destination Management Company (DMC)

Strong knowledge of the East African tourism market

Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor relationship skills

Customer-focused with solid problem-solving abilities

Bachelor's degree in Business, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field

Proficiency in travel management software and Microsoft Office

Experience needed

3 - 5 years

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with hotels, transport, and activity providers
  • Vet and onboard new suppliers to meet quality standards
  • Resolve supplier-related complaints and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Build strong supplier relationships to ensure service reliability
  • Communicate product updates and market trends to clients and internal teams
  • Monitor supplier performance and enforce contract compliance
