Role Context
We are looking for a Product Owner- Debt Collection to lead initiatives that improve the efficiency, scalability, and technological capabilities of our debt collection operations in Kenya. This rle sits at the intersection of operations, technology, and product development, and focuses on implementing systems, processes, and tools that help collection teams perform more effectively.
You will manage high-impact projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure new solutions are successfully deployed and integrated into day-to-day operations.
The successful candidate will also act as a Project Owner ,during development phases, helping translate operational needs into technology solutions and ensuring smooth implementation before transitioning them to operational teams.
Responsibilities or duties
Product Ownership (Primary Focus)
- Drive product discovery and problem framing
- Define high-quality product requirements
- Prioritize with product strategy and discipline
- Lead delivery from build to rollout
- Measure impact and iterate
Operational Process & Experience Improvements
- Shape efficient, scalable processes for collections operations
- Embed automation and data-driven decision-making
Cross-Functional Alignment & Change Management
- Partner deeply with stakeholders
- Ensure smooth operational adoption
Data & Performance Insights
- Monitor KPIs and evaluate product performance
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
What you will need:
- 3+ years of experience in product ownership, product management, operations improvement, or debt collection.
- Experience working with technology teams or digital products.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into operational improvements.
