JOB DESCRIPTIONS & REQUIREMENTS
JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION INTERN
NATURE OF JOB: FULL TIME
STIPEND: KSHS. 17,000
JOB LOCATION: ALONG MOMBASA ROAD
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Support:
- Assist in setting up and monitoring production lines to ensure efficient operation.
- Ensure all machinery is prepared and running under optimal polymer processing conditions.
- Monitor production output and report deviations from standard procedures.
- Collaborate with supervisors to meet daily and weekly production targets.
Quality Control:
- Conduct routine checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Identify and report defects or process inefficiencies.
- Assist in implementing corrective actions to minimize waste.
Inventory & Stores Management:
- Track raw material usage and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent contamination or damage.
- Assist in stock-taking and reconciliation processes.
ERP & Documentation:
- Enter production, inventory, and material movement data into SAP or a similar ERP system.
- Generate basic production reports for management review.
- Maintain clear and organized records of all production activities.
Process Improvement:
- Observe current production workflows and suggest improvements where possible.
- Learn and apply best practices in polymer processing and manufacturing.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the factory.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with production supervisors, quality control, and store teams.
- Assist accounts or business management teams with production-related data when required.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance operational knowledge.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Production, Stores, Accounts, or Business Management.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing factory.
- Knowledge of polymers and their optimal processing conditions.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Experience in a plastic products manufacturing factory is an added advantage.
