Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.

Efficiently utilize resources including raw materials, equipment, and labor.

Lead and manage production supervisors, operators, and support staff.

Conduct performance evaluations and identify skill development opportunities.

Institute and lead the quality control and assurance committee.

Enforce quality control measures and ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards.

Continuously evaluate production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Drive Lean manufacturing principles (5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen).

Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely supply of raw materials.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.

Conduct safety audits, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field (certifications or advanced degrees are an added advantage).

Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in manufacturing.

Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of wood product manufacturing processes including machinery, assembly, finishing, and packaging; familiarity with quality control standards.
