QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

PhD and Master’s degree in Cyber security or a related field from accredited institutions.

At least three (3) years of demonstrated quality and progressive teaching experience as an Associate Professor or equivalent; and research experience.

A minimum of six (6) high quality publications in refereed journals since last promotion to the position of Associate Professor.

Successful supervision of at least 5 postgraduate students, including 2 PhD candidates.

Attracted research or development funds as an Associate Professor or equivalent.

Registered with the relevant professional body.

Demonstrated evidence of service to the university and community.

Active participation in national and international scholarly activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver and support teaching in cyber security at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Lead and promote high-quality, ethical research and a strong research culture.

Develop research proposals, secure funding, and publish in reputable journals.

Build and maintain partnerships with industry, government, and other stakeholders.

Contribute to quality assurance, monitoring, and continuous improvement processes.

Engage in professional development and staff training.

Develop, review, and implement academic curricula.

Supervise postgraduate students and participate in faculty peer review.

Maintain accurate student records and track academic progress.

Participate in departmental and institutional meetings.

Develop learning materials and support student learning and development.
