ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Co-lead in the execution of Habitat’s framework for engaging local volunteers ensuring sustained growth and proper execution of plans. [20%]
- Manage the development and optimization of program and project design, and management systems, processes, templates and tools to support local volunteering integration. [20%]
- Manage donor relations, program funding and grants including overseeing project design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation, and coordinate with relevant teams to strengthen collaboration and fundraising for program impact and sustainability. [20%]
- Provide technical and advisory support to area offices, affiliated entities and national organizations in all stages of program design and project management and engage subject matter experts in the process. [20%]
- Support ongoing efforts of linking local volunteering initiatives to the broader impacts of housing and strengthen community engagement approach and impact measurements. [10%]
- Facilitate and coordinate the analysis of local volunteering trends and provide feedback to the network helping strengthen country strategies and business plans. [10%]
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in behavioral science, international development, sociology, public policy, or other relevant social science fields.
- 5-7 years of experience in non-profit program management, preferably with experience managing and scaling volunteering programs and/or community-centered initiatives. Preference for candidates with experience applying insights from social or behavioral science disciplines to enhance volunteer-involving program design or community engagement.
- Strategic thinker with strong background in programs and project management
- Extensive knowledge in program life cycle and building partnerships.
- Field experience in managing volunteering initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability in monitoring and evaluation, program conceptualization and proposal development.
- Experience designing and testing interventions using behavioral insights or social science-based experimentation approaches.
- Ability to translate ideas into scalable models, including rapid prototyping, piloting, and learning from failure.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills and the ability to work in a cross-cultural setting.
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
- Intermediate skills in software applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop/graphic designs, general web skills (email, search), web advertising and analytics skills (SEO, paid search, traffic analytics).
- Ability to dig into the details while still seeing the big picture.
- Successful team building skills, team player.
