International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) is a pan-African Centre of excellence in research for development and capacity building in insect science and its applications. Its mission is to help alleviate poverty, ensure food and nutritional security and improve the overall health status of peoples of the tropics.
Responsibilities or duties
The Programme Support Officer will provide essential program management and administrative support to the Insects for Food, Feed and Other Uses (INSEFF) Program, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, budget coordination, financial and technical reporting, and program administrative support. This role is critical to ensuring effective project delivery through streamlined processes, timely reporting, and consistent engagement with development partners and other internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications or requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or its equivalent from a recognized University.
- Project Management training.
Experience needed
- At least 4-5 years’ project/programme management experience.
- Proven experience in coordinating projects with partners and stakeholders.
- Experience in the development and implementation of projects.
- Experience working in an international organization.
- Excellent people management skills in a multicultural setting.
