We work with our members, government, and other stakeholders to advocate for policies and initiatives that strengthen the healthcare system.

Role Context

KHF is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Programs Advocacy Intern to support our advocacy efforts and programs. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare policy, advocacy, and program implementation within a leading private healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the research and analysis of healthcare policies and issues.
  • Support the development of advocacy materials, including policy briefs, position papers, and presentations.
  • Monitor and report on relevant healthcare policy developments and stakeholder engagements.
  • Provide logistical support for advocacy events, meetings, and workshops.
  • Contribute to the implementation of KHF programs and projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Systems Management, Public Policy, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A keen interest in healthcare policy and advocacy.

Experience Needed

Previous internship or volunteer experience in a related field is an added advantage.

Additional Notes

This is a full-time internship position based in Nairobi. The duration of the internship will be [Specify Duration, e.g., 3-6 months]. A modest stipend will be provided.
