The Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF) is the umbrella organization for the private healthcare sector in Kenya. We work with our members, government, and other stakeholders to advocate for policies and initiatives that strengthen the healthcare system.
Role Context
KHF is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Programs Advocacy Intern to support our advocacy efforts and programs. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in healthcare policy, advocacy, and program implementation within a leading private healthcare organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the research and analysis of healthcare policies and issues.
- Support the development of advocacy materials, including policy briefs, position papers, and presentations.
- Monitor and report on relevant healthcare policy developments and stakeholder engagements.
- Provide logistical support for advocacy events, meetings, and workshops.
- Contribute to the implementation of KHF programs and projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Systems Management, Public Policy, International Relations, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A keen interest in healthcare policy and advocacy.
Experience Needed
Previous internship or volunteer experience in a related field is an added advantage.
Additional Notes
This is a full-time internship position based in Nairobi. The duration of the internship will be [Specify Duration, e.g., 3-6 months]. A modest stipend will be provided.
