Responsibilities or duties

Development of standardized maternal and neonatal indicators, medical records and databases embedded in routine health information systems

Working with the data team in the provision of clinical input for data quality assurance, monitoring reports and dashboards

Tracking updates in clinical practice guidelines and how these relate to quality of care

Support multisite maternal and neonatal quality improvement including fostering of peer to peer networks, data use, QI reviews and cross-site learning sessions

Participate in analysis of data and developing written outputs

Participate in related training activities and study workshops or meetings

Performing any other related duty as assigned.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

At a minimum, the PCS will have:

Registered specialist medical practitioners and should possess MMed (Obstetrics Gynaecology) or its equivalent from a recognized institution

Master’s degree in Public Health or Epidemiology

They should have at least 2 publications in referred journals

Clear interest in health systems and health services research

Prior work on team-based projects and demonstrable organizational skills

Experience needed
