Role Type: Contract (up to 18 months).

Reports to: Project Director (dotted line to Finance team).

Job Purpose/Role:

Ensure fiscal responsibility and contribute to project success by managing/financial monitoring, ensuring budget compliance, regulation adherence, and accurate/timely reporting. Bridge project management and financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead development, monitoring, forecasting of project budgets.
  • Prepare financial reports (variance analysis, cash flow, KPIs) and provide insights.
  • Implement cost control measures and identify savings opportunities.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations (IFRS/GAAP), and client contracts. Assist audits.
  • Oversee client invoicing and reconcile project accounts/field expenses.
  • Collaborate with project managers, operational teams, procurement, and senior management.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Academic:

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related.

Professional:

CPA/ACCA mandatory (part qualification with experience considered).

Experience:

7+ years in technical/engineering projects or related field with analytical, reporting, forecasting roles.

Skills:

Proficiency in financial modelling, advanced Excel, ERP systems (e.g., Zoho), project management software. Strong technical accounting/financial reporting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, strategic planning. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills. High integrity, attention to detail, sound judgment. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
