About the job
We are bringing on a Project Management Associate to help our team coordinate a software transition for a partner based on the East Coast. This client handles a large volume of shipping and logistics data, and they need us to move their operations from a collection of fragmented spreadsheets into a structured, reliable database. You will be the person who helps keep these technical moving parts aligned so our developers can focus on writing code and our client knows exactly what is happening each week.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a remote software agency that avoids the buzzwords and flashy trends of the tech world. We build internal tools, database integrations, and admin systems that businesses rely on to function day to day. We do not build social media apps or marketing sites. Our work is about solving real operational headaches through stable technology like Node, React, and Postgres. We work on a fixed-quote basis and we believe in transparency, which is why we provide documentation and video guides for every project we finish.
The role
In this role, you will be the bridge between the technical needs of our developers and the practical needs of the client. Since we are a fully remote team, your ability to communicate clearly in writing is essential. You will spend your time documenting specific feature requests, organizing task lists in our project tools, and assisting with the weekly demos we provide to our clients. You will also help gather the information needed for database migrations, ensuring that no data points are missed when we transition legacy systems. This is a full-time, permanent, and fully remote position that offers competitive, attractive pay for an entry-level professional.
What we need from you
- A clear, professional writing style for client emails and internal documentation.
- Strong organizational habits and the ability to track multiple tasks at once.
- A willingness to learn how software is built and managed from the ground up.
- Basic understanding of how data flows between different systems.
- Comfortable asking questions when a technical concept or requirement is unclear.
- Reliability in a remote setting without needing constant direct supervision.
- An interest in how businesses use software to solve logistical problems.
Helpful background
- Familiarity with project tracking tools or shared document platforms.
- A basic awareness of what APIs and databases are and how they function.
- Experience with GitHub or other version control concepts is useful but not required.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or administrative role.
- Proficiency with standard business tools like spreadsheets and calendars.
- Ability to record simple video walkthroughs to explain software features.
Working at Pixel Systems
Working here means joining a small, flat team where your contributions are visible immediately. Because we are fully remote, we value asynchronous communication and clear documentation over long meetings. We do not have layers of middle management. Instead, we have a group of experienced professionals who enjoy shipping code that works. You will see how a professional agency operates and how we manage expectations with clients without the common drama of the software industry. We focus on getting the job done well rather than chasing the latest industry hype.
We take pride in building software that lasts and staying honest about what we can achieve. By focusing on practical results, we maintain a stable environment for our team and our clients. This role is about ensuring that stability continues as we take on more complex projects and help our partners transition away from outdated systems.
