Location: Eldoret, Kenya
Employment Type: Full-Time
Gross Salary Range: KES 50,000 – 60,000
Responsibilities
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs), detailed cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Analyze architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and related documents to generate accurate costings.
- Perform cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and control project expenditures and prepare periodic cost reports and cash flow projections.
- Conduct site valuations, process progress claims, and certify payments.
- Manage subcontractor accounts, including assessment of variations and claims.
- Ensure adherence to contract terms, procurement procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of final accounts and project close-out documentation.
- Stay informed about market trends, fluctuations in material costs, and changes in construction regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software such as CostX, WinQS, MS Excel, and AutoCAD.
