Role Context
MSF is seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to join our team in Kenya. This role is crucial in providing essential mental health support to vulnerable populations.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric consultations and treatment to patients.
- Diagnose and manage mental health conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Provide training and supervision to local staff.
- Contribute to the development of mental health programs.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD) with specialization in Psychiatry.
- Valid medical license to practice in Kenya.
- Proven experience in clinical psychiatry.
- Experience working in humanitarian or low-resource settings is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
Experience Needed
Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in psychiatry.
