Role Context

MSF is seeking a qualified Psychiatrist to join our team in Kenya. This role is crucial in providing essential mental health support to vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychiatric consultations and treatment to patients.
  • Diagnose and manage mental health conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide training and supervision to local staff.
  • Contribute to the development of mental health programs.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD) with specialization in Psychiatry.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Kenya.
  • Proven experience in clinical psychiatry.
  • Experience working in humanitarian or low-resource settings is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.

Experience Needed

Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in psychiatry.
