Tutorial Fellow role at Kisii University. Responsible for teaching and assessing students, developing course materials, conducting research, supervising students, and supporting academic programmes. Requires a relevant Master’s or PhD qualification, university teaching experience, and strong research and communication skills. The role is based in Kisii with duties performed on-site.

Qualifications or requirements 

To be eligible for appointment to the position of Tutorial Fellow, the candidate must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in a relevant area from an accredited/ recognized University:
• Demonstrable potential for university teaching and or research during the appointment interview and also during the contract period;
• Registered for a relevant Doctorate (PhD) Degree
• Evidence of membership or affiliation to the relevant professional body where applicable;
• Proficiency in computer applications;
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance;

Responsibilities or duties

An individual appointed as a Tutorial Fellow shall:

• Assist senior academic members of staff in assignments allocated by the COD;
• Undertake a relevant Doctorate degree (PhD) Programme or MDS or MMed;
• Provide professional and community service, and participate in initiating strategic training and research partnerships and linkages; and
• Carry out such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
