Responsibilities or duties,
- Analyze Policy Formulation: Guide students through the steps of identifying public problems, setting policy agendas, and drafting proposed legislation.
- Evaluate Government Structures: Compare different forms of governance (e.g., federal vs. unitary) and their impact on policy implementation and resource allocation.
- Apply Policy Analysis Tools: Teach students to use cost-benefit analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate proposed public policies before implementation.
- Influence Government Relations: Instruct on how organizations can effectively lobby and engage with government officials to advocate for favorable policies.
- Manage Intergovernmental Relations: Analyze the interactions between national and local governments and how they coordinate or conflict on policy matters.
- Integrate Public Participation: Teach students to design mechanisms for citizen engagement (e.g., public hearings, town halls) to incorporate public opinion into governance.
