The Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Quality Assurance Lead will provide oversight of the hospital's Quality Management System across clinical and support services. The successful candidate will champion quality improvement initiatives, monitor compliance with healthcare standards, coordinate internal audits, support accreditation efforts, and foster a culture of patient safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the hospital-wide Quality Management System.
  • Champion patient safety and quality improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Coordinate internal quality audits and monitor compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Monitor quality performance indicators and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Support risk management, incident reporting and corrective action processes.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety and continuous learning through staff engagement and training.
  • Partner with departmental leads to strengthen clinical and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Quality Management, Public Health, Healthcare Administration or a related field is an added advantage.
  • Professional certification in healthcare quality, quality management or ISO auditing is desirable.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in healthcare quality management, including experience leading quality improvement initiatives within a hospital setting.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare quality systems and patient safety.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Strong analytical, communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and drive organizational improvement.
  • High integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
