Job Purpose
To ensure Catholic schools deliver high-quality, holistic education aligned with national curriculum standards and Catholic values. The officer monitors and evaluates teaching, enforces compliance, supports teacher development, promotes faith formation, and provides reports for continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitor academic standards and support teachers in effective instructional strategies.
- Ensure compliance with government and diocesan regulations on governance, finance, safety, and management.
- Promote Catholic values and oversee religious education and faith formation activities.
- Conduct school inspections, audits, and present findings.
- Organize teacher training and professional development.
- Support learners' holistic development (spiritual, moral, social, emotional, physical).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education.
- Minimum 5 years experience.
- Member of Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Catholic education, its purpose, processes, ethos, and practice.
- Knowledge of MOE guidelines and procedures.
- Knowledge of administrative functions in schools.
- Knowledge of Child Development.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to write and communicate fluently in Kiswahili and English.
