Responsibilities or duties
- Assist in developing cost-effective project designs and construction solutions to ensure value for money.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for project planning and approval.
- Develop comprehensive project budgets, cost plans, and financial projections to guide execution.
- Support procurement processes by preparing tender documentation, pricing schedules, and evaluation reports.
- Evaluate supplier and contractor quotations and provide recommendations based on cost, quality, and compliance.
- Assist in negotiating prices, contractual terms, and procurement conditions to achieve optimal cost outcomes.
- Monitor and track project expenditures against approved budgets to ensure financial control.
- Identify cost overruns, budget variances, and financial risks, and recommend corrective corrective actions.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Building Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management tools.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Experience needed
Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in quantity surveying, construction costing, or project cost management.
