The role

A regional financial services provider is expanding, and we are helping them automate the manual tasks that slow their teams down. As an RPA Support Specialist, you will help us maintain the automated workflows that move data between their legacy systems and modern applications. This is a fully remote position where you will focus on keeping these scripts running smoothly and troubleshooting errors when things do not go as planned.

About Pixel Systems

Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use. We do not build flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical stuff: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that people usually try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another. We are a remote team and this role is 100 percent remote.

We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything: the code, the documentation, and even walkthrough videos. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a team of developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends.

The Role

In this role, you will be the first line of defense for the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) scripts we build for our clients. When a data transfer fails or an automated task stops working, you will dig into the logs to find out why. You will monitor dashboards to ensure bots are running on schedule and report any anomalies to the development team. Much of your day will involve technical maintenance and documentation. You will update instructions when a client process changes or when a software update requires a bot to be adjusted. You will also help test new automations in a staging environment to ensure they are ready for the client to use. This is a paid position, and we offer a competitive salary for an entry-level role in the tech sector.

What You Bring

We are looking for someone who is organized, patient, and comfortable with technical logic. You do not need a long list of previous job titles, but you should have these basics:

  • A high level of comfort using different software tools and web applications.
  • The ability to follow a process step-by-step without skipping details.
  • Curiosity about how data moves from one point to another.
  • Patience for debugging and troubleshooting when things break.
  • Clear communication skills to explain technical issues to people who are not developers.
  • The ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • A reliable internet connection and a dedicated space to work.
  • An interest in learning how automation can improve business operations.

Helpful Background

While this is an entry-level role, it is helpful if you have some familiarity with the following areas:

  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS to understand how web pages are structured.
  • Familiarity with logic or basic programming concepts from a class or personal project.
  • Experience using spreadsheets and understanding how data is organized in rows and columns.
  • An understanding of what an API is and what it does.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL or how databases work.
  • Previous experience in a customer support or technical support role.
  • Comfort using tools like GitHub or common project management software.

Working at Pixel Systems

Working here is a bit different than at a large corporation. We are a small team with no management layers or complex hierarchies. We rely on clear documentation and written communication because we are fully remote and often work asynchronously. You will work on projects that solve real problems for warehouse managers, operations teams, and financial clerks. We value stability and building things that last. When something breaks, we fix it without drama or finger-pointing. You will have the chance to learn from experienced developers who care about writing clean, maintainable code.

Our culture is built on being helpful and pragmatic. We do not have long meetings or big internal presentations. We focus on shipping work that makes our clients lives easier. Because we are small, your work will be visible and you will see the immediate impact of the support you provide. We work hard to make sure our code is easy to understand so that the people who use it do not have to be technical experts to get their jobs done.
