The Archdiocese of Nyeri, Radio Maria is a faith- based radio station dedicated to evangelization, spiritual growth and community outreach through Catholic teachings and values. In line with our mission, we invite applications from suitably qualified and competent individuals to fill the position of Radio Presenter.

JOB PURPOSE

The Radio Presenter will be responsible for planning, producing and presenting engaging, informative and faith- centered Radio programmes that uphold Catholic doctrine and inspire listeners in their daily lives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Present live and recorded radio programmes in line with the station's Catholic identity and values;
  • Prepare program content including scripts, interviews and discussion topics;
  • Conduct interviews with guests and facilitate engaging on-air discussions;
  • Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all content broadcasted;
  • Participate in program planning and development meetings;
  • Engage with listeners through calls, messages and social media platforms;
  • Support evangelization efforts through creative and faith-centered content;
  • Adhere to broadcasting standards and station policies.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism or Media Studies;
  • Proven experience as a radio presenter or in a similar media role;
  • Prior experience working in a Catholic radio station will be an added advantage;
  • Knowledge of the Communication Authority of Kenya regulations, media ethics and other relevant regulatory standards governing broadcasting;
  • Strong understanding of Catholic teachings and values;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to speak clearly and confidently on air;
  • Fluency in Kikuyu language;
  • Excellent research, writing and content development skills;
  • Ability to connect with diverse audiences;
  • Good time management and organizational skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong moral integrity and commitment to Catholic values;
  • Creative, self-motivated and result-oriented;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
