Responsibilities or duties

Evaluate BBC News Division’s operations in Africa and the Middle East using knowledge of international tax rules. Oversee outsourced tax compliance for direct, indirect, and payroll taxes. Coordinate the CbC reporting for the African and Middle East region Oversee operational transfer pricing by evaluating calculations and coordination with local accounting teams for ledger postings. Support regional tax audits, including investigating and reviewing responses to notices and enquiries from taxing authorities. Review regional uncertain tax positions and document findings. Collaborate effectively with several functions including finance, legal, operations, business development and bureau teams.

Qualifications or requirements

A qualified chartered accountant or a chartered tax advisor (CA/CPA/ACA/ACCA/CTA/ADIT or equivalent). Good knowledge of IFRS tax accounting principles. Good understanding of transfer pricing principles and experience with implementation of intercompany transactions and agreements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience needed

Significant years of relevant corporate and international tax experience in a multinational or a large tax practice.
