Relationship Manager- Chinese Desk

Roles/Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with Chinese businesses and networks
• Acquire new clients and grow the existing client portfolio
• Grow business in deposits, trade finance, remittances, guarantees, and foreign exchange income
• Achieve targets in assets, liabilities, and non-funded income
• Manage and grow a portfolio of Chinese-speaking clients
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and Chinese associations
• Serve as the main contact for client inquiries and advisory needs
• Provide high-quality customer service across all client interactions
• Develop external networks within the Chinese business ecosystem
• Address and resolve customer issues promptly and effectively
• Support smooth client onboarding and transaction processing
• Build strong internal relationships across departments

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
• Fluency in Mandarin (Chinese) is mandatory
• Experience in banking, sales, or relationship management is an added advantage
• Understanding of trade finance and corporate banking products is desirable
• Strong relationship management skills
• Business development skills
• Cross-cultural sensitivity
• Ability to meet strict performance targets
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic and competitive environment
