Rentokil Internship Program-Sales
Your journey begins with a comprehensive onboarding and training program to build your skills in our corporate services, internal systems, and operational methodologies. Following this, you will be given clear, measurable assignments that contribute directly to our branch operations, allowing you to learn and grow through hands-on experience.
Phase 2: The Goal — Your Permanent Destination Role
The entire program is designed to prepare you to transition seamlessly into a full-time position within one of these three streams:
The Sales Consultant Track
Destination Role: Sales Consultant * The Mission: Drive business growth by identifying, pursuing, and developing new business opportunities from existing and potential customers.
Responsibilities or duties
- Upselling and cross-selling our full range of pest and hygiene services; closing sales by articulating solutions effectively; demonstrating superior value over competitors; and building lasting relationships to retain clients while monitoring market intelligence.
Qualifications or requirements
- Recent graduates or final-year students looking for a definitive, long-term career path.
- Energetic, self-motivated individuals aligned with our values of Service, Relationships, and Teamwork.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Resilience, adaptability, and an eagerness to learn complex business operations from the ground up.
- Proximity or willingness to work in Nairobi.
Mindset: Target-driven, resilient, and highly self-motivated with a thick skin for handling rejection.
Skills: Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills; comfortable making cold calls and doing field sales.
Asset (Preferred): Prior experience in campus leadership, direct sales, promotions, or customer-facing roles is a major plus.

- Medical Coverage: Arranged upon commencement of employment.
- Pension & Life Assurance: Established post-employment confirmation.
- WIBA Coverage: Effective immediately upon joining.
- Working Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Sat 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (alternate Saturdays off).
- Leave: 23 days paid annual leave, paternity/maternity leave, sick leave, and compassionate leave; increases to 30 days after five years.
- Tools Provided: Mobile phone, laptop, and necessary resources.
- Professional Development: Training opportunities through various programs and access to free online courses.
- Advancement Opportunities for a Sales Consultant in a few months.
