The Project:
The Centre for Healthcare Quality and (CHQI) based at the Faculty of Health Sciences is seeking to hire temporary Research Associates for a three-month period for various studies based in Nairobi, Central and Eastern Kenya.
Job Purpose:
To recruit study participants and collect qualitative and quantitative data.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operationalize study SOPs on site activation, data extraction, participant recruitment, and data collection
- Ensure compliance to study protocol and institutional guidelines
- Implement study activities including community engagement, information giving on obtaining informed consent and sample collection
- Maintaining accurate records of research procedures, results, and observations
- Provide study team with regular feedback on study activities
- Participate in regular team calls and meetings
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
Job Specification:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) with clinical research experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Health Sciences with clinical research experience; or
- Master’s degree in medical humanities in any of the following fields sociology, anthropology, health economics); or
- Diploma in Health Professions with at least three (3) years’ experience in infectious diseases (HIV, TB) or NCD prevention and care.
Terms of Employment:
These are temporary, full time positions for an initial period of three (3) months with possibility of extension subject to IMMEDIATE availability & satisfactory performance.
