Role objectives
Program design & implementation:
Support the design & implementation of FFA (Food Assistance for Assets) & CFA (Cash For Assets) projects, ensuring alignment with program objectives & community priorities.
Facilitate participatory approaches such as Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) & community action planning.
Contribute to Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) interventions, in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Support livelihood diversification activities, including climate smart agriculture, small business support & market linkages.
Assessment, analysis & learning:
Conduct basic market assessments & Value Chain Analysis (VCA) to inform program design.
Monitor resilience & livelihood indicators & document lessons learned & good practices.
Contribute to food security analysis, including use of indicators such as Food Consumption Score (FCS) where relevant.
Coordination & safeguarding:
Coordinate with local authorities, community based organisations & implementing partners.
Ensure that gender equality, conflict sensitivity, protection, inclusion & Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) are integrated throughout program design & implementation.
Project reporting
This role reports to the line manager.
Key competencies
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in development studies, agriculture, environmental science, economics or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in resilience, livelihoods, food systems or community development in humanitarian or development contexts.
Experience in implementing FFA, CFA or CCA activities.
