Key Responsibilities  Provide leadership oversight and work plans for all security staff.  Mange the occurrence book and incident reporting on security affairs daily.  Oversee Patrol and monitor assigned areas of the school buildings, grounds and parking lots to deter, detect, report and stop violations of the law and/or school policies.  Detect, investigate and report unauthorized or suspicious persons, vehicles and activities in the school.  Assist administrators and staff in crisis and emergency situations.  Supervise and direct pupil movement in the school especially during odd hours.  Notify the administrative staff or other appropriate authorities of security or emergency situations in the school.  Inspect the school vehicles when they leave the school compound and fill in the vehicle movement book.  Ensure safety of pupils and Staff while within the compound.  Conduct searches when directed to do so.  Investigate pupils’ violations of school rules and prepare reports of the results.  Work with school administrators in handling serious student offenses.  Shall testify in court and at School Board Disciplinary Review Committee hearings if required.  Maintain security records, logs and reports.  Attend and successfully complete all staff development training as required or directed by the management.  Abide by Security Department guidelines, directives and orders.  Model nondiscriminatory practices in all activities. Qualifications & Experience  KCSE and Diploma in Security Studies or equivalent qualifications  Minimum 3 years prior experience as a supervisor or in-charge with similar level of duties  Working experience in either in Police, Prisons or Military preferred.  Undertaken courses on security management Security.  Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.  Valid driving license Class BCE.  Good communications skills and ability to work well with others.  Service oriented attitude.  Organized, focused and able to follow in detail given instructions.  Self-motivated, Enthusiastic, Physically Fit and of sound mind, capable of working odd hour as well as able to work in all weather conditions.
