Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across all Solenis facilities in Kenya.
  • Identify potential hazards and risks, and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
  • Investigate safety incidents and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incident reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant safety legislation and best practices.
  • Collaborate with site management and employees to promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Safety Auditor or in a similar safety role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Kenyan safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification techniques.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in safety auditing or management.

Work Environment:

  • This role requires travel to various Solenis sites within Kenya.
