Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across all Solenis facilities in Kenya.
- Identify potential hazards and risks, and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
- Investigate safety incidents and accidents, and prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, and incident reports.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant safety legislation and best practices.
- Collaborate with site management and employees to promote a strong safety culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification in safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Safety Auditor or in a similar safety role.
- In-depth knowledge of Kenyan safety regulations and standards.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and hazard identification techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in safety auditing or management.
Work Environment:
- This role requires travel to various Solenis sites within Kenya.
