Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify potential customers and generate leads through various methods including networking, cold calling, and referrals.
- Negotiate and close sales deals to maximize revenue.
- Understand customer needs and requirements through effective questioning and listening.
- Provide detailed information on products and services, including demonstrations and comparisons.
- Offer tailored solutions to customers to meet their specific needs.
- Write complete sales orders and process paperwork in accordance with the dealership policies.
- Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up systems in accordance with the brand standards.
- Attend product and sales training courses when required to.
- Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business that contributes to customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends in the automotive industry.
- Analyse the territory or market’s potential to help track sales and status reports.
- Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and sales activities.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market feedback.
- Use CRM software to manage customer information and track sales activities.
- Have knowledge of local laws the govern retail and fleet automobile sales.
- Work closely with the sales team and other departments to achieve overall business goals.
- Participate in team meetings and share industry best practices with colleagues.
- Provide support and training to new sales team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management/Sales and marketing or a related field from a recognized university.
- Five – Seven (5-7) years related experience as Sales consultant in automotive industry.
- Strong business acumen.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive products, industry trends, and customer behaviour.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Continuous learning orientation and adaptability to evolving market conditions.
