On behalf of our client, a leading provider of advanced solutions in power, material handling, and water solutions we are seeking to hire seeking to hire a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join their team to be based in Nairobi.

Job descriptions & requirements

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, maximizing sales, maintaining client relationships, and supporting the implementation of strategic marketing initiatives. The goal is to expand market share in power solutions and material handling products across Kenya & Tanzania regions.

Key duties Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets for prime products within assigned customer portfolios.
  • Maintain full awareness of customer needs, projects, and business dynamics.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and site assessments to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Generate new prospects to grow market share and promote value-added products and services.
  • Meet a minimum daily call rate of 5 client interactions, with at least 95% completion of the monthly planned calls.
  • Prepare and submit weekly visit schedules to the Sales Manager and maintain detailed records of client interactions.
  • Complete daily call reports including competitive intelligence and potential sales leads.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth processing of client requests and fulfillment.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships at multiple organizational levels.
  • Assist the Sales Manager in setting departmental objectives and achieving sales targets through well-defined action plans.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the company.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Studies, or Marketing from a recognized learning institution.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales, preferably with a major dealer/knowledge in material handling equipment/ machines etc.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of customer management, sales territories, and competitor analysis.
  • Technical product knowledge in material handling, machines, power solutions, water pumps, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging clients and internal teams.
  • Proficient computer skills.
