Position: Sales Supervisor
Locations: Nairobi, Nakuru, and Eldoret
Industry: FMCG
Job Summary:
The Sales Supervisor will lead and supervise sales operations within the assigned territory, driving sales growth, managing sales representatives, developing customer relationships, and ensuring achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the sales team within the assigned territory.
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets and monitor achievement.
- Develop and implement effective territory sales plans.
- Conduct regular market visits and monitor sales activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key customers.
- Monitor product availability, distribution, pricing, and merchandising.
- Analyze sales performance and prepare regular reports for management.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
- Coach, motivate, and evaluate sales representatives.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence.
- Ensure compliance with company sales policies and procedures.
- Resolve customer and field-sales issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven FMCG sales experience is required.
- Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of territory sales, distribution, merchandising, and route-to-market practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Willingness and ability to work in Nairobi, Nakuru, or Eldoret, depending on the assigned position.
