Ummah Children School is seeking a qualified and passionate School Librarian to manage the school library, support the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum, and foster a love for reading among young learners.

Responsibilities or duties

• Manage and organize the school library.
• Source and organise learning materials that support the CBE curriculum.
• Cataloguing, classification, and library systems management.
• Design and deliver engaging library lessons.
• Interact effectively with young learners.
• Support students and staff with research and reading needs.

Qualifications or requirements 

• Degree/Diploma in Library and Information Science.
• At least 2 years experience managing a school library.
• Ability to source and organise learning materials that support the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum.
• Experience in cataloguing, classification, and library systems management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to interact effectively with young learners.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging library lessons.
• A TSC number will be an added advantage.
