Brainston Kindergarten is a Private School offering the 2.6.6.3 Competency Based Curriculum (CBC). Our main focus is the education of your child in all aspects.
The Music Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality music education that nurtures students’ musical skills, creativity, and appreciation of diverse musical traditions, in line with the school’s international curriculum and values.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and deliver music lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and international education standards.
- Teach practical and theoretical aspects of music, including singing, instrumental performance, rhythm, notation, and music appreciation.
- Prepare students for performances, concerts, assemblies, and school events.
- Assess, record, and report on students’ progress and achievement.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Integrate music technology and a variety of teaching resources into lessons.
- Support extracurricular music activities such as choirs, bands, and clubs.
- Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to school activities and events.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress.
- Uphold school policies, safeguarding standards, and professional conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field.
- Must be registered with and with a TSC Number
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in school setting.
- Ability to play one or more musical instruments is highly desirable.
- Able to teach other key subjects and be computer literate

- Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Passion for music education and student development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural school environment.
