ACK GOOD SAMARITAN SCHOOL-KAREN IS HIRING!
Located along Ngong Road, the institution is faith-based initiative of the Anglican Church (All Saints
Cathedral Diocese) relaunched to provide quality Competency Based Education (CBE) for Pre-Primary
and Lower Primary students in the Karen area. The school seeks dedicated, reliable, service and results
oriented individuals to fill the following key support roles for our launch on January 6th, 2026.

  1. School Receptionist


The School Receptionist is the first point of contact for all parents, visitors, and students. This role
involves managing the front office, handling all telephone and email inquiries promptly, supporting
administrative needs, and generally ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serving as the primary contact person, professionally welcoming and directing all visitors
(parents, v, guests).
• Managing the school’s switchboard, handling incoming and outgoing calls, and routing inquiries
appropriately.
• Handling all general and admissions-related email and walk-in inquiries efficiently and
courteously.
• Maintaining an organized and tidy reception area and assisting with general office
administration and clerical duties.
• Assisting the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher with scheduling meetings,
communication, and document preparation.
• Managing school correspondence (letters, packages, etc.) and ensuring proper filing and record
keeping.
• Handling basic financial transactions, such as receiving payments and issuing simple receipts.
• Upholding the Christian values and professional standards of the Good Samaritan School.
Key Requirements (Kenyan Context):
• As minimum a Diploma in Business Administration or Equivalent. Diploma in Secretarial Studies
will be an advantage.
• Proven experience in a receptionist, front office, or administrative role, preferably in a school or
professional environment.

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Kiswahili.
• High proficiency in office software (MS Word, Excel, Email Management).
• Demonstrable interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a warm demeanor suitable for
interacting with parents and young children.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking and working under pressure.
• A Certificate of Good Conduct is mandatory.
